Why cs2trading.gg

Our approach: better, more transparent trades and fair prices.

What makes cs2trading.gg more transparent than other skin sites?

You see a live price for every skin before you decide, the amount you receive is shown in large type on the review page, and nothing starts until you press Accept sale. After that you follow every step live – trade offer, receipt and balance – and you get a document for each sale in your wallet.

How can cs2trading.gg offer fair prices?

We are an experienced trading team, not a bot site chasing maximum margin on every item. Prices are calculated from live market data for the exact item and variant, and we have several income streams, so we do not need lowball offers or fake 'save 40%' comparisons with the Steam Market.

Do you make lowball offers?

No. Our goal is a fair price today. If you think an Instant price is too low for a special item, choose Flexible and negotiate directly with our team in chat – no obligation.

Which features does cs2trading.gg offer?

Live prices on your whole inventory, Instant sales at the shown price, Flexible negotiation in chat, live trade tracking with the trade bot's Steam profile, sale documents, saved payout methods, crypto payouts with 0% fee, bank transfer to IBAN, Buy skins with your balance, a 2% referral programme and live support in several languages.

Who is behind cs2trading.gg?

An experienced team of traders with more than 11,000 completed trades. You get live support in the chat and by e-mail at support@cs2trading.gg.

How do I know the trade offer is really from you?

The trade page shows the Steam profile of the trade bot handling your sale, so you can compare name, avatar and level with the offer in Steam before accepting. Always compare the items too.

Do I get a receipt for my sale?

Yes. Every sale creates documents in your wallet – confirmation, available balance and payout – which you can download as PDF.

Which languages does cs2trading.gg support?

The site is available in Danish, English, German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish and Chinese.

Sell FAQ

Selling skins, prices, Instant and Flexible.

How do I sell CS2 skins on cs2trading.gg?

Open Sell skins, load your Steam inventory, pick the skins and see the total price. Accept the sale, confirm the Steam trade offers in the Steam app and your balance is credited once we have received the items.

What is the difference between Instant and Flexible?

Instant means you accept the price shown and the trade starts right away. Flexible means our team reviews the price personally and you can negotiate in chat — useful for rare or high-value skins.

How is my price calculated?

We use live market data for the exact item, wear and variant — including Doppler phases and gems. Stickers, rare patterns and special cases can be reviewed personally through Flexible.

Why can't I sell some of my items?

Items that are trade-locked on Steam, not tradable or without reliable market data cannot be sold Instant. Contact us in chat if you think an item is missing.

When is my balance credited?

As soon as we have received your items in Steam. The amount starts as locked balance during Steam's 7-day trade protection and can already be spent on Buy skins.

Buy FAQ

Buying skins with your balance.

How do I buy skins?

Open Buy skins, search or filter by phase, wear and StatTrak, pick a listing and pay with your balance. You receive the skin as a Steam trade offer.

Can I use balance from a sale to buy skins?

Yes. Balance from a sale can be used on Buy skins right away, also while it is still locked by Steam's trade protection.

What happens after I order?

Your funds are reserved and our team confirms the order. You then receive a Steam trade offer, and the order is completed once the skin is delivered. While the order is waiting for approval you can cancel it and get your balance back.

Do you show exact phases and variants?

Yes. Doppler and Gamma Doppler phases, gems, wear and StatTrak are shown per listing, so you buy exactly the variant you see.

Steam FAQ

Trade links, trade offers, protection and security.

Does my Steam inventory need to be public?

Yes. Set your Steam inventory privacy to Public so we can load your items and show prices. You can change it back after the trade.

Do you need my Steam API key?

No. cs2trading.gg never asks for your Steam API key, password or Steam Guard codes. Anyone asking for your API key is attempting a scam — revoke it at once on Steam's API key page.

How do I accept the Steam trade offers?

Open the trade offers from your sale page, check the items and recipient, accept them and confirm in the Steam Mobile app. Only accept offers that match what your sale page shows.

What is Steam's 7-day trade protection?

Steam lets a trade be reversed for 7 days. That is why sale balance is locked for 7 days before it can be withdrawn; it can still be used on Buy skins meanwhile.

Payouts & balance

Crypto, bank transfer and new skins.

How can I withdraw?

Choose crypto (USDT, USDC or ETH, 0% withdrawal fee), bank transfer to your IBAN (1.5% fee) or new skins from the market. The fee is always shown before you confirm.

Why do I need a code to save a payout method?

To protect your balance, new payout details are confirmed with a code sent to your e-mail. Saved methods can be reused for later withdrawals.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. Every sale has its own page with status, items and documents you can download from your wallet.

Refer & Earn

Earn 2% on your friends' trades.

How does Refer & Earn work?

Share your personal link or code. When someone you referred completes a sale, you earn 2% of the trade value — every time, on any amount.

How can I use my referral earnings?

Referral earnings can be spent on Buy skins or withdrawn in crypto once the minimum shown on the Refer & Earn page is reached.

CS2 basics

Counter-Strike 2, items and the in-game economy explained.

What is Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)?

Counter-Strike 2 is Valve's free-to-play tactical shooter and the successor to CS:GO. Two teams – Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists – play rounds with an economy where you buy weapons and utility. Cosmetic items such as weapon skins, knives, gloves, stickers, charms and agents carried over from CS:GO and can be traded on Steam.

Did my CS:GO skins carry over to CS2?

Yes. Your inventory moved with your Steam account when CS:GO was upgraded to CS2. Skins were re-rendered with the new engine's lighting, so some finishes look brighter or different, but the item, its float and its pattern are the same.

What are CS2 skins?

Skins are cosmetic finishes for weapons, knives and gloves. They change how an item looks but never how it performs. Each skin has a rarity, a wear level (float), sometimes a pattern seed, and can be StatTrak or Souvenir.

Do skins give any gameplay advantage?

No. Every skin is purely cosmetic. Recoil, damage and movement are identical whether you use a default weapon or a rare knife. People buy skins for looks, collecting and trading value.

What are CS2 agents?

Agents are character models that replace the default Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist player model. Popular examples include Sir Bloody Miami Darryl and Number K from The Professionals, and Special Agent Ava from the FBI. Agents can be traded like skins and some come with patches.

What do the rarity colours mean?

From common to rare: Consumer (white), Industrial (light blue), Mil-Spec (blue), Restricted (purple), Classified (pink), Covert (red), and Contraband. Knives and gloves are shown with a gold 'rare special item' star. Higher rarity usually means fewer items exist, which tends to raise the price.

How do you get CS2 skins?

You can receive weekly drops by playing, open cases with keys, trade up lower-rarity items with trade-up contracts, buy on the Steam Community Market or third-party sites, or trade with other players. Selling unwanted skins for balance is a fast way to fund the item you really want.

Float, patterns & phases

What makes two copies of the same skin worth different prices.

What are the float ranges for each wear?

Factory New is 0.00–0.07, Minimal Wear 0.07–0.15, Field-Tested 0.15–0.38, Well-Worn 0.38–0.45 and Battle-Scarred 0.45–1.00. Some skins have a limited float range, so not every skin exists in every wear.

Why are low-float skins more expensive?

Within the same wear, a lower float means less visible scratching. Collectors pay a premium for very low floats, for example 0.00x Factory New, and for the best float in a given wear (sometimes called 'top float').

What is a pattern seed (pattern index)?

Each skin gets a pattern number from 0 to 1000 that decides how the texture is placed on the weapon. For most skins it barely matters, but for Case Hardened, Fade, Marble Fade, Doppler and Crimson Web it can change the value dramatically.

What are Doppler phases?

Doppler and Gamma Doppler knives come in Phases 1–4, each with a different colour balance, plus rare gems: Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl for Doppler and Emerald for Gamma Doppler. Each phase trades at its own price, so always check the exact phase before buying or selling.

What does fade percentage mean?

On Fade skins the pattern seed decides how much of the purple-pink-yellow gradient is visible. A higher fade percentage – often marketed as 'full fade' – usually trades higher than a low fade of the same knife and wear.

What is a blue gem?

A blue gem is a Case Hardened pattern where most of the visible surface is blue. Only specific pattern seeds on specific weapons qualify, and top-tier seeds can be worth many times the normal price. Always verify the seed and screenshots before trading.

What is StatTrak and does it increase value?

StatTrak items count kills made with that weapon by the owner. They are rarer than the normal version and usually cost more, although the premium varies a lot by skin.

What are Souvenir skins?

Souvenir items drop from souvenir packages tied to Major tournaments and come with tournament stickers already applied. They cannot be StatTrak. Some souvenirs from famous matches are highly collectible.

How do I inspect a skin before I trade it?

Use the inspect link to view the exact item in-game or on a screenshot service. Check wear, float, pattern, stickers and charms. Generic catalogue pictures are not proof of a specific phase, fade or pattern.

Trading & swapping

How trading skins works and how to get good deals.

How does trading CS2 skins work?

Trades happen through Steam trade offers. One side sends an offer listing the items from both inventories, and both must confirm – usually with the Steam Mobile Authenticator. You need a Steam trade link and a public inventory for others to send you offers.

What is a trade-up contract?

A trade-up contract lets you exchange ten skins of the same rarity for one skin of the next rarity from the collections used. The output float depends on the input floats. Knives and gloves cannot be obtained through trade-ups.

Should I swap skins or sell and buy?

Swapping directly can save time if you find the exact item you want. Selling for balance and buying separately gives you access to a far bigger market and makes it easier to compare prices. On cs2trading.gg you can sell for balance and spend it on Buy skins.

What is overpay in trading?

Overpay is the extra value one side asks for on top of the market price, usually for rare floats, patterns or sticker combinations. Always compare with recent listings for the exact variant before accepting overpay.

What does liquidity mean for skins?

Liquidity is how quickly an item can be sold at a fair price. Popular rifles and knives in common wears sell fast; niche items, extreme floats and expensive gems can take longer, which is why they may be priced more conservatively.

How do I price check a skin?

Compare current listings for the exact item, wear and variant across several markets, and look at recent sales rather than a single listing. On cs2trading.gg you see a live price for every skin as soon as your inventory loads.

Safety & scams

Protect your account and items.

What are the most common CS2 trading scams?

Fake trade bots that copy a real bot's name and avatar, phishing sites asking you to 'sign in through Steam', API key scams that redirect your trade offers, fake middlemen and impersonated friends asking to 'check' your items. Never trade outside the official flow of the site you use.

What is a Steam API key scam?

A scammer gets you to log in on a phishing page and creates a Steam Web API key on your account. They then cancel your real trade offers and send look-alike offers to their own account. Check steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey and revoke any key you did not create.

How do I verify a trade bot?

Compare the bot's Steam profile, level and avatar with what the website shows, and check that the items in the offer exactly match the trade you agreed. On cs2trading.gg the trade page shows the bot's profile so you can compare before accepting.

Why do I need the Steam Mobile Authenticator?

Without it, trades are held for up to 15 days, and you lose an important layer of protection. With Steam Guard Mobile you confirm every trade on your phone, which makes it much harder for someone to trade away your items.

What is Steam trade protection?

Items you receive in a trade are protected for 7 days. During that time the trade can be reversed and the items cannot be traded further. This is why balances from skin sales are released after the protection period.

Tips & tricks

Practical advice for selling, buying and collecting.

When is the best time to sell CS2 skins?

Prices move with case releases, Majors, game updates and general demand. Nobody can predict the market perfectly, so focus on a fair price for the exact item today rather than trying to time the top.

How do I sell skins fast?

Choose a liquid item, check the live price and accept an instant offer. On cs2trading.gg, Instant shows a price you can accept straight away; Flexible lets you negotiate on items that need a manual valuation.

How do I build a nice loadout on a budget?

Pick one colour theme, start with the weapons you use most and choose Minimal Wear or Field-Tested versions of popular skins – they often look nearly identical to Factory New in game for much less.

Do stickers add value to a skin?

Usually only rare or expensive stickers – for example old tournament stickers or matching crafts – add noticeable value. Common stickers rarely change the price and can even put some buyers off.

How can I turn skins into real money?

Sell them on a site that pays out. On cs2trading.gg you sell for balance and can withdraw with crypto (0% fee) or bank transfer to IBAN (1.5% fee) after the trade protection period.

Should I keep records of my trades?

Yes. Receipts, trade offer IDs and screenshots make support issues and any accounting much easier. cs2trading.gg creates documents for your sales automatically in your wallet.

Can I earn from recommending cs2trading.gg?

Yes. Share your referral code and earn 2% of your friends' final sale amounts, without lowering their price.

Popular skins & items

Item-specific questions about the skins people search for most.

Which Karambit Doppler phase is worth the most?

Among the normal phases, Phase 2 and Phase 4 often trade higher than Phase 1 and Phase 3 because of their colour balance, while the gems – Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl – are in a class of their own. Prices change, so check the live price for the exact phase.

How is a Butterfly Knife Fade priced?

Butterfly Knife Fade is priced by wear and fade percentage. High fade percentages showing more of the purple and pink gradient usually trade higher than low fades.

Why is there no Factory New AWP Asiimov?

AWP | Asiimov has a minimum float above the Factory New and Minimal Wear ranges, so it only exists in Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Low-float Field-Tested copies are the most sought after.

Which wear of AK-47 Redline looks best?

Many players prefer Field-Tested AK-47 | Redline with a low float, because the scratches are barely visible in game and it costs far less than Minimal Wear.

Why is the AWP Dragon Lore so expensive?

AWP | Dragon Lore comes from a discontinued souvenir-only collection, so supply is very limited, and it is one of the most iconic skins in Counter-Strike. Souvenir versions with rare stickers are among the most valuable items in the game.

Is M4A1-S Printstream a good skin to buy?

M4A1-S | Printstream is one of the most popular modern rifle skins, with a clean black-and-white pearlescent look. Popular skins like this are usually easy to sell again, which makes them a relatively liquid choice.

What are the most popular CS2 gloves?

Sport Gloves such as Vice, Pandora's Box and Hedge Maze, Specialist Gloves like Crimson Kimono and Fade, and Driver Gloves King Snake are among the most wanted. Gloves are priced strongly by wear, so compare the exact wear.

What is an AK-47 Case Hardened blue gem worth?

It depends entirely on the pattern seed: a small number of seeds show an almost fully blue top side and can be worth many times a normal Case Hardened. Always verify the seed and screenshots of both sides.

What is the cheapest CS2 knife?

Knives such as the Navaja, Shadow Daggers and Gut Knife in common finishes and lower wears are usually the most affordable. Use the price filter on Buy skins to see the current cheapest listings.
