Decide exactly what you want
Start with the exact item name, wear and edition – for example StatTrak, Souvenir or a specific Doppler phase. Two items with the same name can have very different prices because of float, pattern or phase. Use the skin database to look up which wears and variants exist before comparing offers.
Compare real prices
Compare current listings for the exact variant rather than a single number from a price list. A price that is far below every other listing is usually a red flag, not a bargain. Our pricing guide explains why liquid items and rare variants are priced differently.
Inspect the actual item
Open the inspect view or screenshots of the specific listing. Check the float, the pattern seed for Fade, Case Hardened and Doppler items, and any stickers or charms. Catalogue artwork is not proof of a specific phase or pattern.
Use a trusted flow
Only pay through the website's own checkout and only accept trade offers that match your order exactly. Never move a deal to private messages or accept a 'middleman' you did not choose. On cs2trading.gg orders are approved by the team and you follow every step under My purchases.
Protect your Steam account
Enable Steam Guard Mobile, check for unknown Web API keys and never log in through links you received in chat. These three habits stop most scams. Our account security guide walks through each setting.
After the trade
Items received in a trade are protected for 7 days. Keep your receipt and the trade offer until the protection period has passed. If anything looks wrong, contact support straight away with your order reference.
