Fade %
Fade percentage describes how much of the colour fade is visible. Higher fade usually sells for more.
Marble Fade
Marble Fade doesn't use fade %, but named patterns like Fire & Ice can carry a premium.
What the percentage describes
Fade is a colour-gradient finish. Community Fade percentages describe how the pattern places that gradient on a particular model. They are not a wear value and are not interchangeable between weapons. Check both the pattern and the item model when comparing percentages; a generic catalogue image cannot establish a specific listing's measured Fade percentage.
Marble Fade and Fire & Ice
Marble Fade uses a marbled red, blue and yellow texture, not the same percentage system as Fade. Fire & Ice describes collector-selected red-and-blue patterns on compatible knife models. Do not apply a Fire & Ice classification from one model to another: blade shape, texture mapping and accepted community definitions matter. Evaluate the actual play side and reverse side.
Buying or selling a special pattern
Use the listing's inspect link and pattern seed to verify the item you are buying. Collector interest can affect price, but no fixed premium applies to every pattern. For selling, choose Flexible when you want the team to review an unusual pattern. An ordinary market estimate must not be treated as a documented special-pattern valuation.
