Doppler phases explained — Phase 1–4, Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl

Doppler

Doppler has Phase 1, 2, 3 and 4 plus three gems: Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl.

Gamma Doppler

Gamma Doppler has Phase 1–4 and the Emerald gem.

Pricing

Phases and gems trade at very different prices, so they are always priced separately.

Recognise the exact finish

Doppler and Gamma Doppler are separate finish families. The phase is a visual variant, not the float or pattern seed. Doppler mixes red, blue, purple and dark areas across its ordinary phases; Gamma Doppler uses green, teal and dark tones. Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl and Emerald are named variants, not labels for any ordinary phase that happens to look red, blue or green.

Inspect lighting and texture placement

The same phase can look different on different knife models and pattern seeds. Screenshots, lighting and which side of a knife is visible affect what you see. Check the in-game inspect view, the named variant and the listing's float and pattern before choosing. Not every knife model exists in every finish.

Compare phase prices without mixing variants

Start with one knife model and one wear, then choose the phase or gem. A generic Doppler family price is not a Sapphire or Ruby quote. The Buy market opens phase-specific listings from the item's phase selector. There is no universal phase price ladder: compare the available exact listings rather than assuming Phase 2 or Phase 4 is always the best value.
